Out: Scandinavia’s second cities

You’ve strutted through Stockholm. You’ve ambled about Oslo. Hell, you’ve even hiked Helsinki. You may think you’ve done Scandinavia, but you’re really just getting started. These barely-under-the-radar Scandic second cities may not be massive, but like their better-known capitals, they’re loaded with northern beauty, charm and culture, and their smaller sizes render them easier for quick in-and-out trips. Moreover, this being progressive Scandinavia, they’re frankly homo-friendlier than many first cities elsewhere, each set to mount its own homegrown gay festival in the coming months. Oh, and need we mention those extra-long summer days and extra-tall Norse men?
